National sickie day

National Sickie Day, observed on the first Monday of February, is known as the day when most UK workers are likely to call in sick. The reasons range from physical ailments to mental health issues. While the term ‘sickie’ implies false pretences, it’s important to note that many people may use physical illness as a cover for mental health issues due to stigma.
