Carers' Week
10 June 2024
Carers Week is an annual campaign led by Carers UK to raise awareness of caring responsibilities. It highlights the challenges faced by unpaid carers and recognizes their vital contributions to families and communities across the UK. The campaign also encourages people who may not identify as carers to access much-needed support. This year’s theme, “Putting carers on the map,” aims to galvanize action during a general election year. It focuses on the pressures carers experience, impacting their finances, employment, health, and well-being. Carers Week emphasizes the need for recognition and better support for carers’ needs. Together with our Wellbeing Investment Matching partners and Early Intervention partners, we’ve designed and collated a vast range of wellbeing communication material in line with key national and international health awareness days. This repository of resources is designed with HR, Line Managers and Employees in mind. Many of the workshops and training courses in our wellbeing calendar are completely free of charge.
Any employers interested in cost option workshops or training courses provided by our wellbeing partners should talk to us about Wellbeing Investment Matching - an initiative by Generali UK to help companies partly or fully fund a wellbeing initiative where a specific need is identified.
