WEBINAR - Men's mental health and suicide

A 30-min webinar hosted by Generali UK, in partnership with Form Health & charity Andy’s Man Club, in advance of World Suicide Day (10 Sept)

About this event

Generali UK speaks with representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation expert Form Health and national charity Andy’s Man Club, about male mental health and suicide. Males aged 45 – 49 continue to have the highest suicide rate in England.(1) Globally, more than 700,000 people die to suicide every year and it is the fourth leading cause of death among 15 – 19 year olds.(2)

Andy’s Man Club was established by Luke Ambler, following the death of his brother-in-law Andy, who died by suicide in 2016. It has now grown to become one of the top suicide prevention charities in the UK.(3)

The discussion will include:

  • The story of Andy’s Man Club and the reality of male suicide in the UK.
  • The stigmas around Men’s Mental Health and what is expected of a man, including the power and importance of talking.
  • What employers could do better, including making best use of existing support and services in the workplace.
