World Sight Day

World Sight Day is an annual event that falls on the second Thursday of October to focus global attention on vision impairment and blindness. Vision impairment is a major public health issue that affects at least 2.2 billion people worldwide, of whom at least 1 billion have a condition that could have been prevented or has yet to be addressed. World Sight Day aims to raise awareness of the causes and consequences of vision loss and advocate for universal eye care for everyone everywhere. You can support World Sight Day by pledging your sight test, building your poster, joining a challenge, or donating to a project. To find out more, visit this website.

Together with our Wellbeing Investment Matching partners and Early Intervention partners, we’ve designed and collated a vast range of wellbeing communication material in line with key national and international health awareness days.

This repository of resources is designed with HR, Line Managers and Employees in mind.

Many of the workshops and training courses in our wellbeing calendar are completely free of charge.

Any employers interested in cost option workshops or training courses provided by our wellbeing partners should talk to us about Wellbeing Investment Matching - an initiative by Generali UK to help companies partly or fully fund a wellbeing initiative where a specific need is identified.
